Time to fess up.

Hopped on the scale and gained a half pound this week.

Not surprised.

I existed on veggies, fruit, fish, chicken, beans and almost no carbs until last night…

I simply HAD to make a decadent chocolate cake for my Hubby for Fathers Day, right? (The fact that he’s dieting himself and not a huge cake fan never entered my mind. I swear.)

And well, because I baked it, I simply had to taste it for quality control purposes…

and taste..

and taste…

Hmmm…it needed something.

Vanilla ice cream. NOW we’re talking. So after “tasting” it a few times, I cut a slice, spooned (dumped) some ice cream on it, and I was off! Two slices later, I deemed it a success.

My first major fall off the diet wagon in three weeks.

I’m surprised it took THAT long!

I’ve come to realize that it is painfully hard to take weight off after Fifty. A very slow process indeed!

But I’m in it for the long haul, and today starts another week.

Like Scarlett said “tomorrow is another day.”

Heres to fresh starts.
